Before returning home to Holly, Slotkin worked for years in the intelligence community, serving in Iraq as a CIA analyst and spending time in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

Elissa Slotkin has been in national and public service for the past fourteen years. She was at the CIA and the Defense Department; she did three tours as a CIA officer alongside the military in Iraq.
