Rep. Slotkin Statement on President Trump’s Rally in Lansing

ROCHESTER, Mich. – Rep. Elissa Slotkin (MI-08) issued the following statement today on President Trump’s planned rally at Lansing Capital Region International Airport:

“To President Trump and team coming to Lansing today: Please talk about the issues that matter to the people of mid-Michigan, instead of attacking other leaders. If you have a plan to protect people with pre-existing conditions, lay it out, in detail, and withdraw your relentless lawsuit that aims to cut those protections. And please, as our health care facilities across the state are seeing an increase in COVID patients, support our health care workers and urge your supporters to wear a mask and practice social distancing.

“Leadership climate is set from the top. If you can’t explain how you’re going to protect health care and if your rally risks our health, please make it a quick stop.”
