Rep. Slotkin Wraps “Bipartisanship in Action” Series

Republican officials and leaders shared why they support Rep. Slotkin

LANSING, Mich.— Today, U.S. Representative Elissa Slotkin closed her “Bipartisanship in Action” video series that featured Republican officials, national security colleagues, and constituents discussing why they support the Congresswoman. The series mirrored her closing message: America is at its strongest when Americans work together.

Testimonial participants in the “Bipartisanship in Action” series include:

  • Jack Curtis, the Supervisor of Oxford Township. Slotkin and Curtis worked together to secure $1.07 million in federal dollars to help the community recover after the shooting at Oxford High School last year.
  • Harvey Hoffman, a retired judge in Eaton County for nearly two decades.
  • Sue Hoffman, a former commissioner on the Eaton County Board of Commissioners and Vice Chair of the Cass County Republican Party.
  • Jan Koop, a retired first-grade teacher in Oakland County who worked on Republican campaigns for more than three decades.
  • George Kullis, the Supervisor of Holly Township. Slotkin and Kullis worked together to secure $10 million in federal dollars to expand the area’s sewer system.
  • Nancy Strole, the Republican Clerk for Springfield Township for 16 years and a member of the township’s Board of Trustees for 20 years.

“I’m grateful that my campaign’s attracted the support of Democrats and Republicans alike,” said Slotkin. “That’s because I’m in Congress to get stuff done. I’ll do that with anyone—liberal or conservative, left or right—who comes to the table willing to negotiate and ready to actually work. I’m proud to be named the most bipartisan member of Michigan’s congressional delegation and one of the most bipartisan representatives in the entire House—because that’s how we make progress on the issues that matter.”
